I really can’t say enough wonderful things about Compassionate Crossings and the extra special care their staff provided when my sweet, 18 year old cat, Bijou, passed away while I was on a recent vacation.
My petsitter was able to call Compassionate Crossings who took such respectful care of Bijou and helped make her final arrangements during such an emotionally difficult time, especially when it can be so hard to make decisions.
I’m so thankful they also helped me navigate cremation options, which was one less burden to shoulder. I’m so happy Bijou is now home again with me and that I have her ashes and a paw print keepsake that I’ll forever treasure.
I highly recommend you work with this amazing group of professionals in the Birmingham area. Thanks so much for being there in my time of need.
I'm so glad we found Dr. Lindsay and Ross's company Compassionate Crossings. I wish we'd had their service for all of our other fur babies in the past but Dr. Lindsay was exactly as their company name says, very compassionate.
She made the process so much more peaceful not only for us but for our sweet boy. Having the service done in our home made it so much better than on a cold metal table in a vet's office (nothing wrong with that either but this was WAY better), especially for Cowboy. Dr. Lindsay did not rush us through the process and she let us have time alone with Cowboy after he crossed over the rainbow bridge. And we got his ashes back in a week. Ross hand delivered them to our house and was also very kind and compassionate.
It was worth every penny for how well they treated us through the whole process from the first time I contacted them until the very end. They made a very painful situation a little more bearable. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Highly recommend!
I cannot say enough good things about Lindsay and Ross. From the very first phone call, they were compassionate and understanding. Lindsay arrived out our home, loved on all of our dogs, and helped my husband and I feel more at peace with our decision to put Odie to rest.
Obviously no one wants to have to say goodbye to their pet, but Lindsay made it as painless as possible. She allowed us to take our time and explained every step of the process up front, as well as while it was happening. Being able to love on our boy as he crossed the Rainbow Bridge in the comfort of our own home made our parting just a bit easier.
Compassionate Crossings took care of everything from beginning to end. From scheduling a time that worked best for our family, transporting the body, having him cremated, and returning his cremains and memorial items quickly - Ross and Lindsay did everything so we didn't have to think about anything except Odie.
I cannot say enough good things about the people at Compassionate Crossings. We had to make the difficult decision for our dog and they were able to make same day arrangements, despite being such short notice.
Dr. Scruggs kindly helped us navigate the initial process and scheduling and give us peace of mind. Dr. Wade was an absolute angel throughout the actual process, made our pup and our family more than comfortable. Dr. Floyd even drove out to our home and hand-delivered our pets remains with unexpected personalized items that more than touched our hearts.
Thank you all for your genuine empathy, for truly living up to your name and for providing us a source of comfort throughout this tough time. I could go on and on, but in short, we appreciate you all so much for everything you did for us.
I cannot say enough about compassionate crossing. Dr Lindsay Floyd is simply the best! I truly believe this is her calling. I had her come to our home for my heart dog Bay in November. Then just months later again for my dog Poppy Liu.
This was very hard for me. She is our angel. Lindsay let me take my time, so kind and caring. She drove way out of her zone to help us. Kept me informed on details afterwards til my babies were back home with me in gorgeous urns. I do recommend as an add on the cylinder keepsake I don’t wear necklaces but these stay in my purse so happy I purchased them.
I would like to say this service is something I have never thought about but at home my dog was at ease, I didn’t have to leave a vets office upset in pieces. And most of all the other dogs in the house got to say their goodbyes and they didn’t have to wonder and grieve more not knowing where their brother was. They were present it made it much easier on all of us. I will always use Lindsay she has helped me so much. She is a part of our family now.
Lindsay and Ross both are incredible. Through the whole process of helping our sweet senior greyhound over the bridge, they were responsive, kind, and compassionate, as their name suggests. We were able to be seen on a Sunday after a long weekend of deciding on what to do. They went at our pace and were accommodating in every way.
Lindsay arrived to our home, spoke kind words to our sweet boy, complimenting him and explaining each step to us. No one likes this part of having a furry companion, and I’ve had to say goodbye to many pets in my life, but Compassionate Crossings seriously made the worst scenario the best that they possibly could.
Only a week later did Lindsay drive an hour back to our home to deliver all of our memorial items to us. It was all perfect and memorized Meatloaf so well. I would use them every single time. I am so so happy with how Meatloaf got to leave this world, and it’s all because of Lindsay and Ross.
Dr. Floyd has an unreal gift for compassion and strength during life’s most tender tragedies. We had no idea what to expect during our visit, but Dr. Floyd walked us through every step without making us feel rushed at any point. She and Ross made one of the worst moments into a beautiful gift. If you are fortunate enough to say goodbye to your pet at home, I highly recommend Compassionate Crossings as your pet’s final new best friend.
Dr. Lindsay Floyd was just amazing, and treated our sweet Critter cat like one of the family. It helped so much to be able to say our goodbyes to her at home, with our girl in her comfy surroundings. It's aways going to be heartbreaking, letting go, but the care and compassion shown to our cat and to us was so helpful in such a difficult time.
Dr. Floyd was amazing and helped make this hard choice so much more peaceful. She was so, so good with my other three dogs, and gave us all the time we needed to grieve. Such a kind and compassionate soul through the whole process.
Dr. Floyd and her at-home service were such a blessing to me and my family. Our little Sweetie was able to cross over in the comfort of our home and in our arms on the couch with his 2 fellow sidekicks Finn and Clarice by his side, without the noise and coldness of a vet clinic.
This was a particularly hard loss for us, and I can’t imagine us having to let him go at a clinic. We miss him dearly. Thank you, Dr. Floyd, for making this option available. You truly blessed our family when we needed it most.
Your business name says it all....and it is exactly what you did for our polar bear of a dog, Casper.....thank you so much!
It was so peaceful. Lindsey was so caring and compassionate fully understanding the difficulty and emotions with putting a dear pet down. I’m so glad I contacted them to do it. They really care and have the process figured out to make it peaceful for all. She gave me all the time I needed. They are such a blessing. ❤️
