Lydia Wade

Lydia Wade, D.V.M.

Originally from Helena, AL, Dr. Lydia Wade graduated from UAB with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry before completing her Master's in Public Health (Industrial Hygiene). She then received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University in 2014. Dr. Wade now works full-time at Red Mountain Animal Clinic in Birmingham, where she continues to provide compassionate care to her patients. She also shares her expertise as a main veterinarian on the Ask a Vet segment on WBRC 6 News Good Day Alabama on the 4th Wednesday morning of every month with Janice Rogers. Dr. Lydia Wade recently completed her training with the CAETA (Companion Animal Euthanasia Training Academy) to become a Certified Peaceful Euthanasia Professional. When she's not spoiling her two cats and two dogs at home, she enjoys traveling, gardening, and admits she could get lost in a plant store for hours.
