KC Bright brings her whole heart to Compassionate Crossings—and lucky for us, it’s a big one. She spent her high school years in Auburn, AL before heading north to Knoxville to earn her Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Tennessee (a proud Vol through and through). She later completed her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Alabama in 2005, proving that SEC house divided life is very real.
KC moved to Birmingham in 2009 and now calls Irondale home. She was actually one of our very first clients—trusting us with the care of her beloved Bijou—and she’s been part of the Compassionate Crossings family ever since. A licensed clinical social worker with nearly two decades of experience, KC specializes in supporting individuals through grief, loss, and major life transitions. She’s especially passionate about “closing the loop” with families by personally delivering memorial items and checking in with a big hug.
When she’s not working, you might find her showering her Sphynx cat, Rita, with love (and occasionally tiny sweaters), trying out new restaurants, diving into true crime stories, or fine-tuning her stand-up comedy routine—which she hopes to debut soon. She’s also a highly recommended pet sitter—just ask Dr. Lindsay, who happily vouches for her five-star service.
