Meet Our Team

Cheryl Linder, D.V.M.
Born in Mobile and raised in Birmingham, Dr. Linder has called Alabama home her whole life. She earned her B.S. in Psychology from Auburn University and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University in 1995.
She met her husband the “old-fashioned” way—through the Heartlines newspaper ads in The Birmingham News in 1992—and together they’ve built a full and lively family. They have three daughters: Sarah (a new mom and entrepreneur), Rebecca (an attorney in Wilmington, NC), and Joanna (a senior at Mississippi State University), along with a son-in-law, John, and their first grandbaby, Jack.
Their household is rounded out by three dogs: Annie, a sweet pittie mix, Major, a mischievous hound/lab/Doberman mix, and Aslan, a beautiful Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever.
After nearly 30 years as a full-time small animal veterinarian at several Birmingham-area clinics, Dr. Linder now works relief shifts as needed—but her heart is dedicated to slowing down and focusing on what matters most: guiding families through the tender end-of-life decisions for their pets with empathy and care.
Dr. Linder is a Certified Peaceful Euthanasia Professional, having completed specialized training with the Companion Animal Euthanasia Training Academy (CAETA). She takes great pride in helping pets and their families experience comfort and dignity in all stages of life.
When she’s not with patients, you can find her spending time with family and friends, cheering on Auburn football, singing in her church choir, watching musicals and movies, or working out at the gym.
