A native of Alabama at heart, Dr. Lauren Thibault was born in Rome, Georgia and raised in Ohatchee, where her passion for caring for animals began early. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor’s in Integrated Science and a minor in Chemistry, then went on to graduate from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2025.
Growing up with a mother in family medicine, Lauren was surrounded by healthcare from an early age and ultimately chose to become “the other family doctor” by caring for animals. Outside of work, her life is happily filled with two dogs, one cat, six rabbits, seven chickens, and two sulcata tortoises.
Lauren enjoys spending time with her family, traveling (she’s visited 31 countries), and cheering on Mississippi State athletics—Hail State. She is currently opening Creek Bank Veterinary Clinic in Ohatchee, returning home to serve her rural community, and is excited to help expand Compassionate Crossings’ services into Central East Alabama to better serve families east of Birmingham.
